Vertical and Horizontal Spacing
Reduce the chance of a fire climbing into the canopy by providing proper vertical spacing between shrubs and the lowest branches on trees.
Horizontal spacing should be determined by the slope of the land and the size and species of Tree and Shrubs. Steep slope and larger plant life will require more spacing than a property that is level with smaller plant life.
